Hello all!
Well, we've been here in Africa now for about 4 days and there's never been a dull moment, between overflowing toilets, kids runny noses that get wiped all over us, driving on the opposite side of the road with very aggresive traffic, finding meats at the supermarket that we didn't realize could be eaten (for example chicken feet and cow intestines, thankfully we haven't been asked to taste any of these yet!), and huddling around our little heaters holding cups of hot water trying to stay warm! :-) But all in all it has been good so far!
Today it was FREEZING and very windy! We spent most of the day working on our house at Ebenezer -painting, cleaning, organizing and doing things like that. Hopefully we'll be moved in there by the week-end, so keep praying for that! Yesterday we arrived at Ebenezer to all the children in the preschool chanting our names. It was so cute! :-) We're both really excited to start working in the preschool in the next couple of weeks!
Keep praying for the people at Ebenezer to have open minds and hearts and that we would be able to touch their lives with the love of Christ. Pray that we would also remain flexible and open to whatever it is God has for us. We so appreciate your support and encouraging comments, you all mean so much to us!
Abby & Shelly
P.S.
Tomorrow we're going to try to post some pictures, ok!

God BLESS you and keep you guys! :) Sounds like you've already scored some points with those kids; my heart gets so excited thinking about what you must be doing right now. Can I come? :D. I'm praying for both of you. You're in my thoughts and in my heart! May God continue to fill you up with His love and spirit so that you can pour it all back out on Ebenezer. :)
Love, hugs and prayers,
Haleigh
(P.S. Abby: DON'T GET EATEN BY A RAM!! hahaha...)
Awww! :) Those kids sound adorable!! I'll be praying for both of you and the sweet people that you've met so far. :) You two both amaze and inspire me, and I'll bet the kids there are saying the same thing. Isn't God good? :)
As for the chicken feet and cow guts, I've tried both, and am praying fervently that neither of you have the same experience! :D
*hugs*
Natalie
