Hi we're Abby and Shelly, two friends who are currently serving the Lord in South Africa.
This past fall our church took a two week missions trip to South Africa with TentMaker Ministries and we both went along. It was a great experience, one that changed our lives forever! We left South Africa with a burden and a desire to go back and continue serving the beautiful people there. When we got home we started praying and seeking the Lord about it, and He opened the door for us to return! We feel so excited and blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to once again serve the Lord and the people of South Africa!
During our stay here we will be living and serving at Ebenezer Care Center, which is a home for orphans and the elderly ranging from the ages of three months to ninety-three years old! We will be doing a variety of different things including: helping to teach the preschool that is held at the center, ministering to the elderly residents, helping to lead Bible Studies at the center, and just loving on the people here.
Please keep us and our trip in your prayers! Pray that God would give us safety, wisdom, and the strength and flexibility we will need for each day. Pray for the people here to have open hearts and that we would be able to touch lives and see hearts change for the glory of Jesus Christ!
